Memorial for Mark Cook

My name is Kat and I’m organising this fundraiser for my friend, Sophie.

Earlier this year, on the 12th of August, my friend Sophie lost her father Mark. He was a dearly loved Father, Husband, and Brother. He has left behind 5 children who miss him terribly, and want to help their mother with the costs of his memorial. Sophie spent as much time possible with her family after his passing before having to return to work to continue to earn a living.

This fundraiser won’t even begin to cover the entire bill for the funeral, but even the smallest amount would help massively to give Mark the goodbye he deserves, in the way he wanted it.

Below is some information about Mark and his life, from my friend Sophie.

I’m going to miss my dad’s good mornings and him asking how my day was, because without a doubt he would always ask me. I’m very grateful to have spent 21 years with him but that was no where near enough time to have with him.

I’m one of 5 siblings and each of us hold some fond memories of dad that we’ll cherish forever. My Dad’s favourite singer was Elvis Presley and his favourite television series was Doctor Who, which hold so much meaning now and can’t be listened to or watched without thinking of my dad.

Even though his days have ended with us he’ll always be in our hearts.
