My name is Brittany-Christina Matos.
I am trying to guide my Dad with a large Financial Debt and the sadness that has hit our Family. My mom was only 64 years young. Her passion was driven by losing her son to Oxycontin Overdose on September 08, 2001 and he was buried on 9/11. Dedicating her Life to Overdose Awareness for over 23 years. To her Angel Moms all over the country, who supported each other. My Mother Voiced out against Pharma and what Oxycontin was not only killing kids but everyone. Article she wrote on 2007 (elliot matos jr. died from accidental overdose) Oxycontin wasnt known until 2000 when in Kentucky when 7 overdoses and deaths were reported by State Police. when Oxycontin invaded Somerville Mass. My brother was the first victim by far not the last. The Families ,Friends and the Community have been Dealing with Pharma and Oxycontin The Killer. Picking up the pieces, suffering for thier loved ones. When Brotha (Elliot Jr.) I gained many of his close friends through the years adopted me being that 14 year old, and became our Family saving my mom from the bitter broken heart that needed mending. These (Somerville Kids) knew her as Mom to us. Her heart mended throughout this time. She will be missed, but her message will carry on.
This information has been taken from my Mothers computer and Journals. she loved to write. For more information; check out DONNA J LANG-MATOS on Facebook
On April 8th after midnght, my mom suffured an Ischemic Stroke. The only reason she survived was because, my Dad was watching her, paramedics took her to Lawrennce General where she was intubated and flown to Beth Isreal Deconess Medical ICU immediatly. The stroke affected both sides of her brain. Diring her stay she had ups and downs. She was intubated 3 times. every setback caused more damage to her inner organs. She had 3 organ failures, was on Kidney Dialysis. The Heperin had to be stopped because her lower intentines were bleeding, causing the Dialisis to clot making it usless to her. She fought for 43 days Passing on May 20 2023 12:49 am, Peacefully surrounded by her Family. A Shout out to Beth Isreal Deconess Medical ICU. The Staff Doctors Nurses PCT's got to know Donna very well. Treated us with respect and compassion. Thank you to them. Thank you for taking time for us. Brittany-Christina Matos
