Memorial for Paul Nguyen

Hello, my name is Amy Nguyen. I’ve created this page asking for help. My brother was on vacation in Medellin, Colombia. He went missing, and just a few hours later his body was found on 11/10/22. He is a victim of a cruel and senseless crime. These people chose money and greed over a single thought of my brother’s life. With the help of his kind friend and our community, we tried whatever we could to find him. But it was not enough. I wish I could have done more. I wish I had protected him more. I have great appreciation and gratitude for everyone who had helped us try to find him. Paul was my older brother who was always there to take care of me. He was there to support me through my ups and downs. He was my shoulder to cry on. I hope everyone who knew Paul stays strong. I come to you, for my family, for support in preparing the service he deserves. I am working on bringing Paul back to the US for a funeral service. Paul deserves to be back home, surrounded by love, family, and friends. Any donation will help relieve my family of stress and costs to bring him back and properly have a service here. If anyone could help, we are grateful for anything. Thank you for all the support.

I want to take the time to sincerely thank everyone that has donated. On top of that, my family and I want to share our appreciation for the overwhelming support and love for Paul. We are overflowing with gratitude. 

 As you know, we started this fundraiser to bring Paul home. We are still working on this, but everyone has helped us take a great step forward. When I started this page, we didn’t know what to expect nor how to honor him best. With your help, we are able to provide him the beautiful service he deserves. Paul was taken too soon and we can not change that, but you all have built a powerful legacy for him. So many people have shared their happy memories and touching moments with Paul. He would be so happy to see all the love and support you hold for him. I wish he was here to feel all the love everyone has shown for him. I hope you keep these joyful moments of him and stay strong. 

Thank you to all the family, friends, and strangers that stand with us through this long and difficult time. Thank you for showing your selflessness and benevolence. Thank you to everyone that has reached out, sharing resources and guiding my family. I am closing the donations now. We will be using the remaining funds towards a lawyer and PI to bring Paul justice. Although, it is a frustrating and hard process, I hope we will eventually find peace. We do not know how to thank you all enough.
