Memorial for Paul Yap

The global college counseling community mourns the sudden passing of our dear colleague and friend Paul Yap on December 5, 2021 . The loss to our profession is great as Paul was a friend and mentor to his colleagues, a champion and advocate for his students, and instrumental in bringing college counseling expertise and resources to the Philippines, his home country. He was a frequent presenter at conferences and was incredibly generous with his time providing support, advice and guidance to thousands of college counselors helping students meet their higher education goals. Paul was the guy you could count on for collegial conversation and also a good laugh. He leaves behind his wife Nikka and son Ty and daughter Hero. This fund is set up as an endowment to support the education of his children. Many of us will miss him as a vibrant force in supporting students and a man with a kind heart and a beautiful soul.
