Memorial for Randy Reese

Randy Reese, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, had a massive heart attack (cardiac arrest) on December 23rd while at home wrapping Christmas gifts for his family.
Randy remained unconscious in the hospital ICU until his death on Thursday, January 7, 2021, when he went peacefully into the arms of Jesus.
Randy's three sons Haden, Houston, and Holden fervently prayed for their dad to wake up during his weeks long stay in the hospital. Fifteen years ago, their precious mother, Myra, died from cancer. Randy raised his sons to love the Lord and to love others...to be respectful and kind...to live a no excuses life filled with integrity and compassion. The closeness the boys share with each other and with their dad is inspirational. The positivity that Randy instilled in his sons will never be forgotten. Randy always saw life’s glass as half full, not half empty...and he encouraged his boys to live life with that mindset.
Randy grew up in the north end of Beaumont, Texas, where he made lifelong friendships. A 1983 graduate of French High School, Randy was proud to be a French High buffalo where he played football, baseball, and basketball. He passed his love of sports on to his boys. They grew up playing all sports with their dad coaching them. Randy and the boys loved to watch local teams play ball, but they also enjoyed watching game after game on television while dressed in the jersey of their favorite player.
A week before his heart attack, Randy was sitting with his mom and sister after a hospice meeting for his beloved mom. Randy shared these words that he said he had learned after the death of his precious Myra, and he encouraged his sister to remember this...Do not be angry for the time that you are not going to get to have with your loved one who has passed...Be grateful for the time that you did get to have with them. Encouraging words from a man who lived life to the fullest and loved others with all his heart.
Randy poured his life into the lives of others on a daily basis. He never tired of helping a friend or family member, of speaking a kind word or helping a stranger. Randy believed God had poured His grace and mercy on him, and he wanted to share that with other people. He will be greatly missed by so many who know and love him.
Our goal is to help Randy’s boys with the many expenses that they are now facing after Randy’s lengthy stay in the hospital. If you would like to give, it would be a huge blessing to the family. Randy's goal in life was to glorify the Lord. We pray the Lord will be lifted up as we bless Randy's three sons, and help them as they travel life's road without their mom and dad here with them.
