Memorial for Scott Alan Miller

Hello Everyone,

My name is Robby Miller and I am Scott Miller's son; my father passed away overnight on March 2nd, 2024. While we had some time to prepare for his death, he left us way too quickly, leaving our family with the need to organize fast.

His time in hospice was rather short but my family and I are so, so grateful for the time that we got to share with him throughout his life. My father spent the majority of his years teaching at Beth El Synagogue in Saint Louis Park and FCDC in Plymouth, providing the most gentle teaching for young kids as they started up in the world. I am touched by the stories I have received from people -- and only want to continue hearing more. They are all such a good reminder of the gentle giant he was, and how his life made an impact on so many.

I'm arranging this fundraiser to help out with additional expenses that have come up throughout navigating this process (making sure our family eats, clearing out his assisted living home, transportation/gas/flights, etc.) that have come at an unexpected moment. There are also several debts that we are still working through, medically, as we sort out these final matters. A lot of people have been asking me how they can help, or what they can provide to us. This seemed to be the best option, and anything helps.

Depending on how much is left over after we feel our needs have been met as a family, we will donate any additional funds toward a cause my father would have wanted the money to be donated to (to be determined at a later, but very soon time). He was always looking to give back, so please, help us provide an opportunity to give back to people he would have wished to continue giving to.
