Memorial for the unexpected loss of Mark Garcia

On Friday 13, 2019, my friend’s husband Mark was driving his 12 year old daughter to meet her mother. Sadly, they never made it to their destination. Their family vehicle was hit by a driver on a motorcycle who was driving recklessly above safe speeds according to the police report. Both Mark and his daughter Monet perished in the accident.

The loss of a loved one is hard enough without the extra pressure that comes from the financial side of things. This was an absolute shock and something that almost nobody can plan for. It is my hope that we can come together as a community and help Mark’s wife, Luzy, and his young son Ryon with his final expenses. It is also my hope that we can show Luzy that even in our darkest moments the graciousness, compassion, and love of our fellow humans will ultimately lift us back into the light.
