Memorial Fund for Aaron Kyle Burns
Donation protected
Memorial fund of Aaron Kyle Burns
Hello Everyone,
Sadly, our dear Aaron Kyle Burns has passed on. At this time there are IMMEDIATE cremation and internment fees that will need to be paid. There will also be costs for a celebration of life at a later date. If you are able to support our friend in this time it would be appreciated. He would take care of us and its our turn to take care of him. Any and all donations will go directly to pay for his cremation, urn, internment/burial and celebration of life. The military will pay a portion of his burial costs but not up front and not in total. We are in the process of determining what exactly he is eligible for. However, there are immediate fees for cremation and urn. The next is a cemetery internment cost. Due to the timing of his passing and the social distancing orders, we are not able to gather to properly pay our respects. We WILL do so at a later date, hopefully over the summer. After his immediate fees are paid, anything remaining will be to pay for his celebration of life.
ONE LOVE!!!
OBITUARY:
This is to shine light on the life of Aaron Kyle Burns. He had many nicknames: Aaron, Burns, Burnsy, AKB, 321, 631 and 3rd Degree. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and a devoted friend. He passed away in his home at the age of 38. A private, humble man with a huge heart and a colorful spirit left this world far to soon and he will be greatly missed.
He was born in Oroville California on June 10th, 1981 and raised in Chico Ca. He made the statement several times that he, “always wanted to be there for his family." In this way he could, "be their hero.” In the last few years living close to his Mother and relatives in event they ever needed anything. He wanted to “be the one they could count on.” He loved them very much.
Growing up in Chico provided him lifelong connections with an extended family of friends. He always said his friends were like his family too. In those relationships he was known to be kind and caring, also ready to lend a hand. He was funny and sometimes made up his own lingo. Those closest to him knew exactly what he meant. He always had time to throw a ball or play with the children. Ready to have a good time he consistently made the effort to connect with others. He made the statement, “My friends are my family and ya’ll know it. I’d stop my life for any of you…I’d fly across the country…I’d come stay with you for weeks to help you move…I’d come walk your dog. I have no barriers for friends.”
He attended Pleasant Valley High school, where he excelled in sports. He played Viking Football and was a loved teammate and athlete. He graduated with the class of 1999. After graduation he studied first aid training at CSU, Chico until the summer of 2000. In 2001, he made the move to Santa Barbara and studied Criminal Justice at Santa Barbara City College. He would often reference how beautiful the ocean was in his time there. He studied his passion for dirt bikes and street bikes, learning about all manufacturers while attending Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and was a member of the class of 2003 in Arizona. On a motorcycle or dirt bike he was a fearless competitor and a successful AMA moto-cross racer. If you were lucky enough to witness him ride, he was not only fast but could be seen soaring through the air. He is surely tearing up a track in heaven. “Braaaaaap…” as he would say.
He proudly joined the United States Army in May of 2006. There he became a specialist in Alpha Company of the 1st Battalion in the 87th Infantry. He served his country honorably as a deployed combat Veteran. He was stationed in Georgia, New York, Iraq and Kuwait city. He took this position seriously, was proud of his Military service and his fellow comrades. He spoke fondly of his military family, reflecting on them after his tour of duty.
Recently, he was a mechanic at Morris Cycle Supply where he combined his knowledge of mechanics, love of children and his love of dirt bikes. Within his Motocross family he was a coach and mentor to children and moto enthusiasts alike. He had developed a training program called 3rd Degree Training and took pride in seeing his students excel. Cycleland, Riverfront, MMX and E Street were his favorite moto tracks. He always made sure bikes were prepped and ready for a race, as it was in his nature to be organized and prepared.
He was loyal, brave and true, we have all lost a caring soul. When he is laid to rest, his loved ones will be invited to pay their respects. There will be a celebration of life over the summer. The location and dates are yet to be determined due to the social distancing orders and the timing of his passing. We will wait until it is safe for everyone to be together.
