Memorial Fund for Amber Shackleford

On December 6th, 2022 my younger sister lost her life in an act of suicide. My family, particularly my mother Linda, are shocked and deeply saddened by this news, and moving at the pace we are able to do right by Amber and try to make sense of the events that took place. She was only 33 years old, a truly authentic and smart individual, full of humor and full of potential. So many have reached out and shared their experiences of her care, advice, and overwhelming kindness to them when they needed a true friend in whom they could rely. My family is in the first steps in giving Amber a dignified memorial that reflects her jovial quick witted nature, and includes all who wish to be a part of a celebration of the person we all knew, rather than the circumstances of the goodbye.

Our intentions in our fundraiser our to raise donations to assist my family in covering Amber's final costs, traveling her remains to rest with our father in the care of our mother, and a subsequent celebration of life.
