Memorial fund for baby Michaela

We are devastated to share the news of baby Michaela’s sudden passing on Sunday the 23rd of June..

My Uncle Robert and his partner Jess welcomed their first baby girl in November last year and my uncle has given up his life for his daughter to be by her side from day 1, financially and emotionally he is strained. He works as a nurse for elderly patients he has always been known to give everything to everyone around him and to help everyone around him but now he is in need of support.

With just being 7 months old and having such a hard start to life born at 28 weeks premature, she battled for her life everyday while she suffered brain bleeds and was rushed in for multiple surgeries but miraculously after 4 months in NICU she was showing signs of improvement.. She was allowed to go home with the constant care for her due to her condition she had to be kept on feeding tubes, Her parents had to constantly take her to appointments from Temora to Canberra and her dad had to stop working to be able to be there for his daughter and care for her. My uncle was ready to give up his life to care for his daughter knowing she would have developmental difficulties and medical difficulties. Most of her life she spent in hospital or having to go back to hospital and my uncle being by her side the whole way. It’s just so sad and heartbreaking to hear that she had lost her life suddenly on Sunday.

As we come to terms with this unimaginable loss, we are reaching out to our community, friends, and family for support. We are setting up this fund to help alleviate the financial burden of the unexpected expenses related to Michaela’s passing, including medical bills, funeral costs, and other unforeseen expenses.
