Bobby E. Connelly Jr. Memorial Fund

On May 5th, 2017, MSgt/First Sergeant Robert E. "Bobby" Connelly Jr. passed away suddenly, while participating in an international military combat skills competition in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Please rest assured, he was doing what he loved, alongside some of his cherished military family members, when he was called forward.

He leaves behind his very loving wife, Shantae; his 15-year-old daughter, Savana Mae; his 6-year-old son, Mickey Edward Danger; his 4-year-old son, Davin Allen Riot and his 1-year-old daughter, Vida Love.  In addition, he leaves behind his parents, Bob Sr. and Michelle, as well as his sister, Amber and countless more brothers and sisters in military service.  As much as we all loved Bobby, it is safe to say he reciprocated our love tenfold, and then some.  There is no doubt the many friendships he made will last, well beyond his physical life.

As a member of a small and little-known group of Air Force Commandos, Bobby always led from the front and set the standard high!  He constantly sought and successfully navigated some of the most physically and mentally challenging courses available in the military and provided a positive example for others to follow through his actions, both on and off duty.

Furthermore, he epitomized the words courage, dedication, and loyalty as he voluntarily served on numerous combat deployments to extremely austere and dangerous locations across the globe.

Always passionate about assisting our Nation's greatest heroes, Bobby was an enthusiastic and active ambassador for the Air Force's Wounded Warrior Program.  Not only did he unfailingly support the program's regional CARE events but he used his ethos of hard work and positive attitude, to create a Wounded Warrior Advocacy Office for his home base.  Bobby was about much more than that though: Not only a humble, international humanitarian and skilled American gun-fighter, he was a very talented artist, gifted musician and entertaining radio DJ; but, most of all, he defined the word, "love" and showed us all how a great husband and real dad is supposed to behave.

As Bobby's family and close friends, we created this fundraiser to give his many friends a central location to provide his family any donations they may see fit during this time of despair.  The funds from this campaign will be used for any additional support that Bobby's wife and children should need.

In closing, it is with our deepest sorrow that we invite you to please come celebrate Bobby's life at his Viewing, which will be held Friday, May 12th, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, at Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bellevue, Nebraska.  In addition, you are invited to attend his Funeral Service, which commences Saturday, May 13th at 11:00 AM, at the same venue and the Offut Air Force Base Memorial Service on Monday, May 15th at 2:00 PM.  Finally, we would like to extend a very sincere thank you for your love, generosity and support during this difficult time.  It does not go unnoticed and it is greatly appreciated.

Until Valhalla Bobby! We love you, Brother!
