Memorial Fund For Bruce Bergstrom

Hello, my name is Janelle Borges, a friend of Cheryl and Bruce Bergstrom. Sadly Bruce has left us unexpectedly & on her behalf, I have created this avenue of help for Cheryl in hopes of helping her through this very difficult time.

From Cheryl and her family:

The biggest blow of a lifetime was losing my soulmate & my boys losing their father. Bruce was unexpectedly taken from us, leaving a big void in our lives. Never in a million years did I think I would be doing this.

On November 1, 2022, Bruce unexpectedly passed away. We were together for 44 years and married for 40 of those years. We were just kids when we fell in love. He is survived by me, our 3 boys, 2 daughter-in-laws, 1 grandson and a bonus daughter.

Again, on November 1st my life changed forever. I lost my "childhood" sweetheart, my soulmate, my best friend, my zing. The only one that knew me inside and out. Bruce was such a kind-hearted soul, but most of the time didn't want anyone to see that he had feelings. He wanted everyone to think he was a grumpy old man, but he had a heart of gold. He was the best dad he could be, the best husband and friend to all who knew him, including all the kids that came into our lives through the years, treating them as our own. Our big, happy, dysfunctional family where everyone was welcome with no judgment. Just love, comfort and a safe space. He was a father figure to so many & loved by so many.

His love for music continued throughout his life and his growing guitar garden. Sharing his music and teaching anyone who was interested was his passion. His absence has left a big void in the world, but it's filled with all the love we share. He is missed and loved by so many...

We humbly ask our family, friends and community to support our family during this difficult time. Donations will help with the unexpected financial burden of the funeral, a celebration of life & other expenses incurred due to Bruce's passing. No amount is too small.
