Memorial Fundraiser for Bud O’Byrne

It is with a heavy heart that I tell the passing of my dear brother, Larry (Bud) O’Byrne, Jr., on April 16th, 2020 in Cornwall, Ontario.

He was one of the kindest, funniest men you may have met. He truly had a heart of gold. He was an amazing father, husband, sibling, son and friend. He was a gifted musician and his music will live on forever. He played such an instrumental part in bringing people together to laugh and smile. His presence will surely be missed by the community and those lives who were graced by his presence. 

With his passing, he is leaving behind his wonderful family. His loving wife, Angela, and his two sons, Arlo and Fergus. His father, Larry, and his mother, Judith. His siblings, Marc, Sarah, Tina, Floyd and Jenny, as well as countless family members and friends.

He will be missed by his bandmates in Doctor MoM, where he was a bassist and vocalist.

Bud accomplished a huge dream this year, celebrating the one year anniversary of his very own record store in Cornwall, Buds Records and Kool Things. Music was his passion. I am so grateful he was able to live that dream and share that passion with others. Donations will help Angie alleviate rental costs and to allow time to figure out next steps for the record store. 

He was also a member of Cornwall biker group, The White Knucklerz RC, which helped to raise money for local, sick children. His fundraising efforts, organizing experience and love and support for this cause was hugely impactful, and his passing is a loss for this community.

All money raised will be given directly to Angie to help with unexpected financial stress at this time, to help cover costs related to the funeral/ memorial/ housing and rental costs, and any other items needed for the family. 

I also hope any money raised could help Angie take extra time off work and go on a special trip with her two sons, since travelling is Angies passion.

We will all miss him dearly.
