Memorial Fund for Caleb Lynum
Donation protected
On Sunday, September 4th, 2022, we lost our strong, intelligent, wonderful brother far too soon. Caleb Lynum is remembered and celebrated by his parents, Scott and Chris, three brothers and their families, younger sister, girlfriend Anna, and so many family and friends who love him.
On Thursday, September 1st Caleb was found unconscious after being assaulted. His injuries were severe, and he was pronounced brain dead that afternoon at the hospital. Our family surrounded him over the next three days while he remained on life support, while surgical teams worked round-the-clock and donor recipients prepared around the country to receive the most incredible gifts. As we sat with him, we celebrated all the memories we have with him. Caleb was strong, intelligent, creative, and cared for those around him. He loved being out in creation surrounded by growth, life, and beauty—exactly the things he gave this week through organ donation. Our unimaginable loss brought life to others and their loved ones. In our sorrow, we are held up by a God who is good and faithful even in the most painful circumstances. In Him, we have eternal hope. We cling to that hope and to each other as family.
This memorial fund will help relieve the burden of unexpected funeral expenses and care for our parents, Scott and Chris, as they move forward. Thank you for your prayers and support for our family.
