Memorial Fund for Carlos Aponte

Hi, my name is Melanie Aponte and I am creating this page for my father, Carlos Aponte who passed December 28th, 2021. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend, confidant, manager and beacon of light who touched everyone's lives around him.

 

Carlos was taken from us all too early, at the age of 58 due to a rare autoimmune disease called Antisynthetase Syndrome. His team of doctors at Weill Cornell worked hard with him to combat the disease and did all they could to make him comfortable in his final days. Anyone who knew Carlos knew he always put on a smile and tried to make those around him laugh. He had a limitless knowledge on cinema and the New York Mets (of course!). I know he is at peace now with both of his parents in Heaven.

 

We are devastated and shocked by this sudden loss. While nothing can help ease this pain, I am asking for your support to ease some of this burden while we grieve this loss.
