Our wonderful friend Devon passed away suddenly on Monday, December 27th, leaving behind her husband Sean and six-year-old son, Orson.
Devon was loved by all who knew her. It was common for her to show up at your door with some home-canned goods or homemade elderberry syrup. She had a deep connection to nature, both professionally, through her work as a wildlife biologist for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, and personally. She was always delighted to find a rare flower on a hike, or to come across a ground-nesting bird’s nest in a field. She was a fierce advocate for social justice and environmental stewardship. She loved to hike, ski, and travel with friends and family. She had a sharp wit, a great laugh, and a huge heart. She loved to dance with her son and loved Halloween. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
Please consider donating what you can to help support Sean and Orson while they plan a celebration of life memorial and further transitions to a life without Devon. All donations go directly to Sean and Orson. Thank you for your love and support of the Comstock family.
