Memorial Fund for Em Bohlka
Donation protected
Highwire Coffee Roasters wishes to honor Em’s life and have created this page to help raise funds for her family to contribute to the LGBT community. All funds will be given to her family to select how they’d like to donate.
Em Bohlka was a warm, creative and generous woman who grew up in Claremont, California. Em was a great friend, partner and daughter who loved photography, music, and classic literature and film. She provided caring support to her loved ones and enjoyed sharing her talents of poetry and photography.
Em received a bachelor’s degree in English from UC Riverside and a Master’s degree in English Literature from Cal Poly Pomona. She moved to Oakland last year with her partner; both practicing Buddhists. Em began identifying as female in the last year and enjoyed the diversity and supportive community in the Bay Area.
Em was planning and looking forward to moving to Brooklyn in January.
We wish Em’s loved ones peace and comfort during this time, and we thank you for your support.
