Memorial Fund for Esau Belton Jr.

Donation protected
On Wednesday, October 14, we tragically lost a member of the Vulcan Materials family, Mr. Esau Belton of Elgin, South Carolina.

Esau, affectionately known as Pete to those closest to him, was hired in 2003 as a Haul Truck Driver at our Columbia, South Carolina Quarry. His career spanned across those 17 years at Columbia, where he was most recently a Leadman.

Though quiet and reserved, he was always smiling and laughing. Esau loved his job and those he worked with.  As his wife Eva said, Esau would work as hard as he could to do what we needed him to do, including be a champion for his team's safety as the SHE team lead at Columbia Quarry.  His inspections were also always very detailed and thorough when we went to visit other quarries as part of the safety walks.

He leaves behind a wife, Eva, and children Yolonda Green, Kendra Belton, Tekia Belton and stepchildren Cory Johnson and Shawn Johnson, as well as a number of other family members, friends and coworkers who will now have a void in their hearts.

Esau will be greatly missed by many.  To assist the Belton Family in this very difficult time, we have created a fundraiser where we can contribute.

Thank you so much for your support, thoughts and prayers for the family and the Columbia team during this very difficult time.
