Memorial Burial Fund For Etavion Barnes
We gracefully ask that you donate and offer support to the Barnes/Jackson family. On April 24, 2024, Mrs Cortney Jackson-Barnes lost her first-born child, Etavion Emmanuel Barnes in a school shooting at Bowie High School in Arlington Texas. Etavion was the life of the family system, who radiated fun and joking humor during holidays and on weekends when the family listened to music. Etavion was an avid running back in his junior year of high school, but his passion was music as he was a great singer. Before his life was cut short, Etavion had plans to attend college in Houston to become a Music Engineer, where he could create beats and different music.
Etavion brought laughter to everyone that knew him. He was charismatic and loved to protect his younger siblings and his mother. Mrs. Jackson-Barnes is a hardworking single mother, who always looked at school and church as a haven. She never expected to send her son to school, she never expected that he would be shot, or killed, and would not return home. Mrs. Jackson-Barnes feels life will never be the same. She struggles daily with the notion that Etavion will not walk through her front door again. His protective nature was an emotional solace and peace for the entire family. Ms. Jackson did not expect to have to bury her child, she expected to see him off to college and watch him flourish as an adult.
The support offered will go directly to the burial of Etavion Emmanuel Barnes and the services connected to his burial. We thank you to any donors who offer monetary support.
