We make this appeal because of a terrible tragedy that has torn apart a family and left three young boys without parents. Louise and Carlos Abraham were murdered in the early hours of September 23, 2019 at the Santa Fe Apartment building in Bakersfield, California.( https://www.kget.com/news/bpd-brother-sister-killed-in-double-shooting/ ). Three young boys, Keith (age 10, Reith (age 9) and Cal (age 8) lost both their parents and an uncle in this tragedy. The boys are traumatized beyond imagination and will require the assistance of family and friends for years to come.
The boys are staying with relatives in the Los Angeles area. They need assistance for their immediate needs. They also need assistance to travel to Micronesia where they can be cared for by Louise and Carlos' parents and an extended loving family. The family can care for the boys but lack the resources to bring them home. Surrounded by family in Micronesia the boys have the best chance of overcoming these traumatic events and lead a normal life.
The boys came to Los Angeles with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The $10,000 goal for this campaign will enable the boys to travel to Micronesia and will help with their costs while they remain in the U.S. waiting to join their extended family.
The boys have lost both parents and have no assets to help them transition to a new life. Another goal of this campaign is to make sure they have the support they need to make this difficult transition, including money for counseling and school fees. Please consider making a donation to this Fund so that the boys can overcome this tragedy and succeed.
