Marvin Kim Everhart, 67, was surrounded by his loving children when he left this earthly world on July 27, 2023, at 5:00 a.m. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kelin Martin Everhart, Sr., on June 18, 1956. A Lexington, NC native, he called Davidson County his home.

Kim was an avid outdoorsman and Eagle Scout. He passed his expertise and love for the outdoors to his children and grandchildren, just as his father had done before him. He was a passionate hunter and fisherman; a passion that was only surpassed by his love for his family. He was a proud farmer and enjoyed nurturing the land where he grew, harvested and preserved his own produce.

One of Kim's most endearing qualities was his sentimental side. The stories that man could tell rivaled the greats. He loved to share his many cherished memories, stories, and moments so that they stayed alive for his family. He had a quick-wit and great sense of humor. He could easily make you smile no matter the circumstance. Like his mother, Kim was also an excellent cook. He took joy in preparing and enjoying good food, especially when sharing meals around the table with family and friends.

Kim was predeceased by his beloved father and mother, Kelin Martin Everhart, Sr. and Marjorie Cross Everhart, his brother, Kelin “Buddy” Martin Everhart, Jr., and his nephew Josh Beeker.

He is survived by his sister, Robin Everhart Beeker (Mike) and his brother, Kelly Dan Everhart (Tina); his children, Jeremy Hunter (Ashley), Kimberly Diane (Tyler), Kelin Daniel (Rachael), and Summer Elizabeth (Seth); his grandchildren, Kelin Paul, Caiden Nathaniel, Rylan Parker, Levi Hunter, Piper Vaye, and Emily Belle; and his nephews and nieces, Joy Dalrymple, Lance Everhart, Loren Everhart, and Kaili Lowcock.

Kim Everhart will forever be remembered for his warm smile, his generous nature, his amazing cooking, his love for the outdoors, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew and loved him. His legacy will survive in the spirit of his children, grandchildren, and the generations to come.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 4th from 11:00am-1:00pm for friends and family at Piedmont Funeral Home. 405 S. Main Street Lexington, NC 27292.

In honor of him, his children are having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 (opening day of deer season) at the Arbor Lutheran Church in Lexington. Please RSVP if you would like to attend at [email redacted] More details to follow.
