Memorial Fund for Lillian

If you're seeing this, you probably know of me/my family but, if not, my name is Katlyn Odle and I am trying to raise funds to help cover the expenses associated with my Mom's passing, Lillian Thompson. She passed away on Saturday, July 16th, after fighting for her life for the past month and a half. It was quite sudden, she was recovering well from her hospitalization/the stroke she had, but she unexpectedly suffered another stroke, resulting in fatal brain events. While grieving the loss of our mother, my brother and I have realized that neither of us is prepared financially for the expenses that the process of everything will incur. Fortunately, Medicaid is covering the vast majority of her cremation, but there is still $400.00 minimum I will owe the funeral home in order to retrieve her ashes. In addition to that, I will have to travel 2600 miles total to bring her ashes to her home, which is the Mississippi Gulf Coast, in order to bury her with her late husband/my father, and also to have a memorial service for her. I am unsure of the costs for the memorial service or what our gas, food, expenses will be, etc.-but I wanted to ask for your help. I do fine to pay my own bills, and I wish I had savings to cover the costs, but I do not at this time.
