Memorial Fund for Miles Christian
Donation protected
Miles Christian (September 10th, 1998 - November 5th, 2018) was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend to many. He unexpectedly passed peacefully in his sleep of still unknown causes. He leaves behind loving parents, a younger brother, grandparents, and a legacy of friendships and community spirit.
Like his parents, who are professional musicians, he was on his way to studying music as a career at a university. He was a talented percussionist, graduating through the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association and was selected to perform as alongside his teacher in the Tacoma Symphony. Miles was the process of completing his own solo album, writing songs with his band. He had just received his driver’s license, a new job, and was completing his AA Degree at Tacoma Community College. He loved to do community service, performing for Evergreen State College’s alumni events.
Miles was liked by everyone who knew him. He had a kind nature and gentle spirit. Miles was looking forward to his future and did not want to die. Our hearts are broken forever with this tragic loss.
I am Leon Christian, father of Miles Christian. No one ever plans to bury their child. The funeral, burial, and other costs associated with this unexpected event are more than what our family was prepared for at this time. It is even more painful that while we are grieving this loss, I also have to ask for help.
We are asking for funds to cover the memorial service and funeral expenses along with any other potential costs incurred. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 17th, 2018, at Mountain View Cemetary near his grandparents, Leon and Melvinnie Christian.
