In honor and memory of Miras (Mike) Dusevic
So many of us are saddened and devasted by the sudden and untimely loss of Mike Dusevic who passed away on August 18, 2020. He was an amazing and wonderful husband to Beth and father to their 3 teenage sons Tony, Donny & Joey - but he will be missed and mourned by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
At the age of just 51, Mike contracted the devasting COVID-19 Coronavirus and was quickly hospitalized and passed away just 12 days later. He fought hard to stay here with his family but unfortunately succumbed to this horrible illness.
I'm sure so many of us have been impacted personally by this pandemic in one way or another. For us, with Mike being so young, healthy, and strong, it is impossible to comprehend that this virus took him away from us so quickly and way too soon.
We started this Go Fund Me on behalf of his wife Beth and their 3 children because we knew she isn’t the type to ask for the much-needed assistance that she will require in the coming months and years in order to raise their boys alone. She is a self-reliant and hard working person but the recent tragedy will present her with the most difficult personal and financial circumstances imaginable, while dealing with the devastation of losing her husband at the same time. Mike was the primary “breadwinner”. The money raised here will go directly to Mike’s wife Beth and their children to be used for the childrens’ education and needs of the family.
Mike grew up in Warren, MI after his family immigrated to this country when he was 3 years’ old to seek the American dream. He worked hard to support his family over the years and was always the glue that held his loved ones together. He was generous with his time and money and thought of others before he thought of himself. Mike was the type of person that would shop at the Salvation Army for himself so that he could make sure that his kids didn’t go without. Mike’s family always came first. During the last economic recession, he sold all of his gold (including his wedding ring) in order to have money to pay the mortgage. He would also give his last dollar to someone else with the thought that he could make more money tomorrow.
Finding work always came easily to Mike but not without a lot of effort and long hours. He worked hard as a Home Remodeler and Contractor to build other people’s dream homes. People always said he had “giving hands”. He had “vision” when it came to remodeling and had the ability to turn the plainest of rooms into a thing of remarkable beauty.
Mike was the kindest, most generous, honest, loyal, most forgiving, and faithful person that we have had the honor to know. He told great stories, he was so witty, hilarious, and fun-spirited. He would talk to a perfect stranger like he knew them forever. He was a dog lover and rescued countless pets off the streets and then brought them home to his family (even knowing he himself would probably be in the dog house for it). Mike would often stop to take a look at “Puppies for Sale.” He always said that he would refuse to hold one of them because he knew if he held a puppy, it would be coming home with him. People always talk about what a “great guy” someone was—here it is true. Mike was “a great guy” in every sense of the word. Everyone who knew him would describe him just this way. His loss is truly devastating in every respect to everyone who knew him.
Mike - this is a message to you in heaven…we miss you every single day. We think of you every single day. RIP ❤️
We hope that you will join us in supporting this family during their time of need. Thank you in advance for any denomination that you can donate.
