Memorial fund for my father Michael Monroy

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I’m raising funds for my father Michael Monroy who passed away from Cancer August 10, 2022. A native of San Francisco and Vietnam war veteran Michael was the proud father of two daughters and a son. It has been a very difficult and overwhelming time as far as personal grief and taking on the responsibility of my dads final wishes. While my family and I are able to cover costs of cremation the added expenses I didn’t anticipate are adding up. To publish an Article in the San Francisco chronicle is typically $600 and up just to give you an idea. There will also be a memorial for family and friends that I’m organizing.

since my dad was a veteran he is entitled to benefits but it has been difficult to get anywhere with the veterans department. They do cover burial but to my understanding not much else and I’ll have to wait weeks for paperwork to be sent to me just to see how much they will cover for the cremation if any. It’s been a little frustrating but I’m doing everything just as he’d want me to.
