It is with profound sadness that after an arduous battle with COVID-19, our beloved SGT Barry Henderson has passed.
With a heavy heart, I am reaching out to the community on behalf of Chrissy Couch and Lee Couch to ask for support during these unexpectedly difficult times.
Sergeant Barry Henderson (50) served in law enforcement for 23 years, most recently as a Sergeant in the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Barry was a compassionate individual who devoted his livelihood towards serving his community. He understood that being a police officer was a calling and he served every day to the best of his abilities for others. A light to all, Barry was adored across the community for his warm sense of humor and kind touch as well as respected throughout the workplace for his dedication to others and willingness to lead by example for many years.
Sergeant Barry Henderson is survived by his wife, Chrissy Couch, Lee Couch, Jessica Couch, Andrew Henderson, West Henderson, and Zoe Temples. All of the donations will be used to support the family and assist with unplanned expenses.
Thank you, Barry for all that you have done for us. We are eternally grateful. Rest easy, S-6. We will take it from here.
