Memorial Fund For The Family of Ricky Soril

Donation protected
At the age of 42, our dear friend and brother, Ricky, lost his 6 year battle to ALS on October 23, 2021, leaving behind his wife, Celestine, and 3 young children, Jayden (age 13), Kylie (age 10) & Grayson (age 9). When Ricky received this shocking and life altering diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, the news was devastating for Ricky, Celestine, and their extended family and close friends. He was very young to be diagnosed with ALS at the age of 36, which is rare. At present, there are no treatments that would have permanently halted the progression of the disease and there is no cure. Despite this, Ricky continued on working and supporting his family as best as he could, until he was physically unable to. He also lived his life to the fullest with a positive attitude and outlook. He remained hopeful for a better outcome, however, this disease progressed way too fast.

Ricky was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend who cared passionately about people. His love was displayed throughout his life, endlessly caring and looking out for those around him. He was a true example of “loving your neighbour,” having a heart for everyone he met, and never hesitating to help those around him. Although he was always willing to go out of his way to help others, he was never comfortable asking for help in return and was very private about his diagnosis. That is why up until this day, many people didn’t know about his diagnosis and the trials he and his family had been facing. Throughout this disease, and even in his final days and hours, Ricky showed us an admirable amount of strength, courage, bravery, faith, and love.

As his friends and family, we now want to honour Ricky’s legacy by helping his grieving family, as he helped so many of us. With the outpouring of support and desire of so many people wanting to help, we created this page to help relieve Ricky’s family of some of their financial burdens and anxiety during this difficult time.

Thank you in advance for opening your hearts and donating to this cause, as well as for your love, support, and prayers. All funds collected will be given to Celestine and their children. Any amount and act of kindness is appreciated.
