Honoring the Life of Stanley Heard II: A Legacy of Compassion and Community
On December 4, 2024, Stanley Heard II went home to be with the Lord. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and the countless individuals he touched through his kindness, generosity, and passion for helping others.
Stanley was a man of extraordinary talent and boundless compassion. From his early love of music and soccer to his successful career in the fashion industry, and ultimately, his dedication to serving his community through The Awareness Project, Stanley's life was a testament to hard work, creativity, and selflessness.
The Awareness Project, his nonprofit organization in Bedford, Texas, embodies the heart of who Stanley was. What began as a small resale shop grew into a lifeline for the community, providing food, clothing, job assistance, and housing support to those in need. Stanley’s vision also gave rise to the Dapper Café and the Green Bodega, creating spaces for self-care and mentorship. His laugh, his generosity, and his dedication to others will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
In honor of Stanley’s incredible life, the Heard family is planning two memorial services:
• A Celebration of Life in Bedford, Texas, at his beloved store, so that everyone whose life he touched can gather to remember him.
• A separate, more intimate service for close family in Atlanta, Georgia.
The family needs your support to bring these services to fruition and to honor Stanley in a way that reflects the love and light he brought to the world. The funds raised will go toward:
• Memorial service expenses in both Texas and Georgia.
• Supporting The Awareness Project, ensuring his legacy of compassion and community care continues.
Stanley was a bright light in the lives of so many, and now, we have an opportunity to give back in his honor. Whether you knew him personally or are moved by his story, any contribution you can make will be deeply appreciated by the Heard family.
Let us come together to celebrate the life of a remarkable man and to support a family that has given so much to their community.
Thank you for your prayers, love, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
