Memorial Fund to Benefit Makeida Thompson children

It is with a heavy heart we share the devastating news that Makeida Lavelle Thompson, a loving and doting mother of three boys, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a dedicated colleague. Makeida's life was tragically taken, through an act of cowardness, on November 11, 2020.  

Makeida leaves behind three loving boys, who loved and admired her profusely; in addition to a host of family and friends. Makeida who had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up any room  served as the Supervisor of the Allegheny County Juvenile Probation Community Intensive Supervision Program-Garfield site. In addition, she was in the process of receiving her Master's Degree from Shippensburg University. Makeida loved to learn and dedicated her life to helping others.  Nothing made her more happy than helping young people change the trajectory of their lives.

In honor of Makeida, we would like to raise money for her children. No amount of money can replace what they’ve lost, but maybe we can pull together and provide some financial security for their future.
