Memorial fund to bring Phillip Kong back Home

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed and donated to help get Phillip back home and for his funeral arrangements.

The family would like to welcome all family and friends of Phillip to attend his celebration of life that will be located at the St. Paul Funeral Home this Friday, October 27 from 8:00 am - 1:30pm.

Phillip was born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota and is the oldest of 4 children. He is the firstborn grandson from his father’s side and 2nd grandson from his mother’s side. He brought immense joy and pride to his parents and his family. Phillip Kong was a remarkable individual with dreams, aspirations, and a kind heart that touched the lives of all who knew him.

Phillip graduated from Winona Senior High School in June of 2023. Phillip was a hard worker who got his driver's permit and worked throughout high school. He was a member of the school’s wrestling team and won three wrestling medals. Immediately after graduating, he embarked on his journey to attend college in Arizona and left the state of Minnesota.

While in Arizona, he shared to his parents that he was not feeling well. Immediately, his mom purchased a plane ticket for him to come home on September 15, 2023. His family was unable to contact him to give him news that his flight has been booked. When they were finally able to reach someone, they were told the unfortunate news of his passing on September 10, 2023.

Both his parents have taken off work in order to get Phillip back home. At this time, we would like to extend our hand and ask for any donations to support his family during this difficult time. Every dollar donated will go towards bringing him back home so he may be laid to rest at his final resting place.

Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss. At this time, we also ask you to please respect the family's privacy and refrain from contacting the family directly. We appreciate and thank you for your compassion, generosity, and are forever grateful for every donation.
