Memorial Fundraiser For Greg Chappell

In 1982 a person I had never met before came up to me in the hallways of Jeff Davis Jr. High School and started talking to me about a copy of a "Conan The Barbarian" first issue comic book that I recently sold. My first thoughts were, "who the heck is this guy and why is he approaching me like we're old fiends?" I came to find out that his name was Greg Chappell and we did, in fact, become old friends. Over the course of nearly 4 decades we had many adventures and fun times together and it seemed like those good times would never end. Unfortunately on September 24, 2021 Greg passed away from complications of COVID-19 leaving a daughter and son, granddaughter, mom and dad, brothers and sister, in-laws, and a multitude of friends all stunned and grieving at his loss. A lot of people have asked me what they can do to help and at times like these the financial burden on the family is tremendous so I decided to start a page to try and help them as much as possible. If you have ever had a fond memory, thought, or laugh with Greg please take a moment to give what you can to assist during this most difficult time. I'm a better person for having known Greg and I'm sure if he touched your lives like he did mine most of you are too :)
