Memorial Funds for Bowie Velazquez

Late evening on May 7th Amber and Gabe had to say goodbye to their sweet innocent 6 year old boy, Bowie. Bowie underwent a surgery earlier that week that gave the family hope of a better quality of life for Bowie and in turn more time with him on earth but sadly it was Bowie’s time to go back to his Heavenly home. Bowie had to endure so much in his short life without understanding the meaning behind any of it due to his limited cognitive abilities. He has had countless surgeries, procedures, hospital stays, IV’s, side effects, reactions, medications, blessings, doctor visits, wound care, ambulance rides, and life saving measures done to him from the moment he was born. Bowie was larger than life and the center of the Velazquez family’s world. His loss will deflate every aspect of their family’s wellbeing. I have had a humbling amount of people reach out to us during this horrific time asking how they can help the Velazquez family. I know that desire to help lift others burdens and mourn with those that mourn and the general feeling of helplessness in tragedies such as this. The light of Christ that is given to us all craves the yolk to help our fellow brothers and sisters. It has been beautiful to see so many offer to help lift the burdens. Thank you so much for your kind words, meals, prayers, money, service and love! We all feel those prayers and it is incredibly humbling to see that outpouring of love and generosity. Hopefully we can help lighten the load of the funeral costs for their sweet family.
