Memorial Hall Rehabilitation Project
Donation protected
Memorial Hall is a historical civil war monument built in Oakland, Maine. This monument is one of three monuments built as a building in Maine. This beautiful stone structure was commissioned for occupancy in 1873. It was created to remind us of the men and women who served and sacrificed during such a powerful time in America's history. The Hall was built to be used as a community gathering place, to be used for plays, public and private events, and Town business. in 1977, Memorial Hall was placed on the Historic Registry and remains in near original condition.
The Town of Oakland formed a committee (The Memorial Hall Committee) that was tasked with brainstorming and ferreting out funding to be used to bring this magnificant building into ADA compliance while restoring the building into it's original grandure. We need your help.
We are asking for your financial donation, anything helps, so please find a few dollars to give to this worthy and historical project.
