Skip Henderson’s Funeral Services and Memorial
Donation protected
Skip Henderson left this world Wednesday September 15th, 2021 to the sadness of so many in our Sea Shanty and folk music community. He was just a month shy of his 84th birthday. He left years of his legacy on the folk music community and touched many with his music and stories. His daughter Miranda had to post funds for cremation immediately, and is also hosting an 8 bells memorial in his honor for the community to say a fond farewell. Miranda was out of work for a while, so we need to help her make sure that she can cover the cost to formally say farewell. Please consider helping however you can. No amount is too small. Memorial will be held as follows:
THURSDAY OCTOBER 21st: PUBLIC MUSIC life Celebration at QUINNS LIGHTHOUSE PATIO, Oakland, 6p-9p all are welcome. Music and memories are encouraged.
SATURDAY OCTOBER 23rd: FRIENDS AND FAMILY Life Celebration. San Pablo Yacht Club 3p - 6pm. Light Food, host bar, and some impromptu music.
Enjoy this sweet vignette of Skip playing with his long time music mate Brian Theriault at Heinold’s First and Last Chance Pub in Oakland. His music and presence says it all.
