*The O'Leary Family asks that all family, friends, hockey parents, and surrounding community members make a DONATION to commemorate the recent passing of Matt's grandfather, Ed O'Leary.

Ed spent countless years at Loring Arena. He watched Matt grow up as a Framingham Flyer, through high school, and watched friends play during the annual Memorial Cup Tournaments that honored Matt O'Leary's passing.

The Matt O'Leary Memorial Hockey Fund was created 6 years ago after the passing of our beloved best friend. On July 3, 2016 - Matthew Broderick O'leary passed away in a car accident that forever impacted those who knew him in many facets of life. He was and always will be a person with one of the biggest hearts, who loved hockey, family, real estate, his dog Zoey, and making others smile or laugh with him.

Since Matt's Passing:

- We established the Matt O'leary Memorial Hockey Fund (2016)

1) Rewarding one hockey recipient a $2,500 scholarship to help with college.

2) Providing various enhancements to the facility of Loring Arena, annually.

Matt's wish for this fund is to give back to the upcoming generation of youth hockey players, enhance various aspects of Loring Arena, and continue to provide the best hockey experience for players, families, and guests for years to come.

What We've Raised To Date:

With the help of family, friends, hockey families, and community members we have raised more than $8,500

Where Do Donations Go:

- ALL donations go to the Matt O'Leary Memorial Hockey Fund and then are DONATED to Loring Arena in Framingham, MA.

Annual Traditions Held For Matt O'leary:

- An annual celebration of life at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hopkinton, MA. 

- An annual Thanksgiving hockey tournament in memory of Matt O'leary that includes 4-teams of twelve while friends & family cheer players on at Loring Arena.

- Annual cookout with Matt's friends & family.

Who manages the O'Leary Memorial page on GoFundMe?

- Cory Gorovitz, one of Matt's lifelong friends, and a previous hockey player for Framingham High School ('11-'14) and Junior Bruins ('13-'16).

- Nancy O'Leary (Matt's mom), handles all finances for the O'Leary Memorial page and donates these funds to Loring Arena on a quarterly or annual basis depending on event timelines associated with this GoFundMe page.

Every DONATION made through this page is sent directly to the Matt O'leary Memorial Hockey Fund and we are extremely grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time out of your day/night for taking the time to honor the lives of Matt O'Leary and his grandfather, Ed O'Leary.
