Memorial Playground Equipment for Elizabeth Irvin
My 67-year-old mother, Elizabeth Irvin, lost her battle to colon cancer on September 20th, 2020, just two short months after she was diagnosed.
Her final days were filled with talk of regrets, and things she was proud of. She never talked about wishing that she had more, she only said that she wished she had loved more— wishing that she was better for me and the people she loved, wishing she showed up more.
Here’s what I learned the most from her:
1. Possessions don’t matter. In the end it’s only love.
2. Show love. Give hugs. Give kisses. Send cards. Give gifts.
3. Don’t judge. Give love. You can overcome anything if you believe in yourself.
To honor her legacy and the many lives she has touched, we are going to purchase playground equipment for the children of Racine. One of the things that brought her the most joy was to see children playing and laughing and having fun, and we'd like to help make that happen for her.
Please help us to achieve our goal to honor Elizabeth's tremendous heart and unselfish nature.
