Memorial service and expenses for Samuel Blanco

First of all, thank you for clicking the link and for reading this. My name is Alicia and I’ve never made a go fund me so I hope I’m doing this right. Forgive me if I’m not. This is all so sudden. Sam is my step dad and I have known him my whole entire life. I’m here today asking for any prayers and positive vibes for my mother and all of Sam’s family and friends. We are all going to need it and I believe the power of prayer helps so much. Secondly, we are in need of any monetary donation, anything helps at this time. Sam did not have any life insurance and I’m not exactly sure how we will be able to have him cremated and/or have a memorial service for all of his family and friends to pay their last respects. Sam, fought with his diabetes for many years and was just in the ICU earlier this week. He did not have any insurance at this time and as soon as he was stable the hospital discharged him. I wish things didn’t work like that, but unfortunately, most of the time they do. My mom was visiting my grandma an hour away because her brother just passed away. She came home this morning and found that Sam had passed away. He has been in and out of the hospital for his diabetes, but this was all so unexpected and sudden. Anyone who knew Sam is sure to never forget him. He made a lasting impression on anyone he came in contact with. He would want my Mom to not struggle right now with all of this and that’s why I’m creating this Go Fund Me. With Christmas right around the corner we don’t have a lot of extra funds available to put him to rest and memorialize his life like he deserves. Please, anything helps right now. All funds donated will go directly towards any expenses for cremation and a memorial or celebration of Sam’s life. He wasn’t big on group gatherings and he would probably hate a celebration in his honor ( that’s just the kinda guy he was ) But I believe it is important that his family and friends are able to gather and pay their last respects.
