Memorial Service for Bernadette M. Coyle
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I, Aleanna Coyle announce the passing of my beautiful Mother-In Law, Benadette Marie Coyle. Widowed at the age of 51, after unexpectedly loosing her husband and soul mate, Edward J. Coyle to colon cancer. She recently passed away on April 29, 2020 @9:29am after loosing an extremely tough and heart breakingbattle against COVID-19. At the time, she was being treated at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She was 71 years old and leaves behind her two loving sons Sean & Edward Coyle and their families. Bernadette was a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, Bestfriend, Cousin, Aunt, Grandmother, Mother-in-law and Godmother. Bernadette was loved by everyone who knew her and will be terribly missed.
While many of us have our own story about Bernadette, mine began about 6 years ago in 2014. We met when I began dating her son, Sean T. Coyle. We eventually got married in 2015 and she became my beautiful Mother-In- Law. Since the beginning we were always extremely close. I was more so the daughter she never had and Sean was the absolutely the son my mother never had. We had so many good memories and time spent together with family that I am so immensely greatful for. She was there for me through the good, the bad and the ugly. She was my best friend and never in a million years did I think this was how it was all going to end. Whether you knew Bernadette or not, you knew she loved her family more than words because that's all she would talk about. Constantly putting her family on a pedestal. She loved spending quality time with family especially the grandkids. She always had us all laughing with her outgoing and carefree personality. She said whatever was on her mind no matter how colorful it was. She loved shopping, having girls days, sleepovers and goofing around with the grandkids, playing cards and Pokeno with her friends, hanging with the Coyle, Zeoli, Muni, Morante, Levy and Vasiliadis families. She loved playing the lotto and the slots at the casino. She adored her cats Foots Foots and Chance. She greeted everyone she met as if she had known them for 20 years, ALWAYS with a big smile.
At this time, we would like to ask for your support in the most fitting manner possible as we continue, as a community, to power through this devastating COVID-19 pandemic. For those looking to offer their support to our family, we ask that in lieu of flowers or gifts that you consider making a donation to this GoFundMe campaign in Bernadette's honor, and encourage you to please share the link with your network of friends & family. We realize that offering financial support to the Coyle family during this uncertain time may be difficult for some. Please know that any amount is appreciated tremendously!
The funds will help our family with the expenses that are not covered. Most importantly I will be holding a memorial service in order to honor and celebrate her beautiful life. Ofcourse it will have to be held at a later time when this is all over, considering the circumstances we are all under. Until ofcourse it is absolutely safe to do so. She deserves a proper memorial and I will see to it that she has one. You will all be notified when the date is set. Thank you all for your immense love and support during this extremely hard time. It is appreciated beyond words!
I ask that you hug your families tight and tell them all the things you wished you could say if they weren't here, because this has definitely put things into perspective. In reality, It's the simple things in life that matter like the time spent with friends, family and loved ones. May God Bless you all and keep you and your families safe as you navigate life during this horrible pandemic that has already taken way too many, way too soon.
With All Our Love,
The Coyle Family
XOXOXOXOXOXO
