Please I would appreciate if you can show little kindness by sharing this post and contributing any amount towards Comrade Oduabor Isioma Uziezi memorial service. You may not know him in person but the reality is that, he was a Nigerian and part of the human family.

Comrade Oduabor Isioma Uziezi is a native of Oleh, Isoko (paternal) and Ekpe, Kwale (maternal), Delta State, Nigeria. He got an early retirement from Union Bank of Nigeria and migrated to the UK in October 2008 for further studies. Unfortunately, things did not work out as anticipated and this resulted in immigration problems for him. His desire to relocate the wife and daughter to the UK or at least visit Nigeria to attend to pressing family issues was not realized.

On 29th May 2019, Isioma (52years) was found dead by his flatmate. Upon notification of his death, the UK police took away his corpse without disclosing his where about. Some concerned friends have been able to locate the corpse and hope to give him a small private funeral which will cost about £4500.00.

He may not have achieved his aspirations for coming to the UK but he definitely made an effort. Whenever it was suggested that he should return to Nigeria, in response, he would say, as bad as it is for me here, I am the beckon of hope to my family and I cannot return empty handed. At least, I would like my daughter to graduate first.

For those of us who personally know him, his playfulness, joyfulness, love for God, his family and human beings resonates strongly with us. We don’t want him to be buried in an unknown grave by the UK government. It is sad enough that he left the wife, his only child/daughter and the extended family members over 10yrs ago in search of greener pasture and died in the UK. It is our hope that even if the only daughter who is currently a year one undergraduate student is not able to attend the private funeral, she should be able to visit the father’s grave someday in the future.

Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Our kindness towards one human being is kindness to all human beings. We are all part of the human race.
