Memorial service for Ms. Yasmine Jenkins

On Friday, November 12, 2021, in the early hours of the morning, our beloved Yasmine Jenkins was called home. No parent should ever have to face the reality that they will bury one of their own children. We take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of Jesus and she is no longer suffering.

Yasmine was diagnosed with Juvenile Huntington disease (JHD) in 2012 at the age of 12 yrs old. Juvenile Huntington's is quite rare and requires special physicians. The Burney family packed up and moved away from their hometown in Georgia to Las Vegas, Nevada; seeking physicians who specialized in the disease. During this time, Yasmine mom was diagnosed with stage three cancer and underwent Chemotherapy treatment. Despite all the trials and tribulations the family were going through, they never gave up on finding help for Yasmine. For ten years, Yasmine fought for her life with her loving family by her side.

In support of the Burney Family, we would like to raise funds to alleviate the financial burden that they will incur throughout this difficult time. After paying life Insurance for years, the company decided not to honor their life insurance policy since Yasmine had a preexisting medical condition. The company was advised of her medical condition upon underwriting her life insurance policy and accept monthly payments. Once advised of her passing, the company failed to payout on her policy, leaving her grieving family with no financial help.

We are asking for help with raising money to provide Yasmine with the most beautiful celebration of life. She deserves nothing but the best.
