Memorial Service for Sue Yang

As most family and friends are aware, Sue Yang had lost her battle with Gastric Cancer on 5/15/2021. She was surrounded with an abundance of love and support from family and friends as she made her transition to heaven. Her diagnosis came in September 2019 through an exploratory procedure as her symptoms worsened. She was diagnosed with stage IV gastric cancer. The doctors gave a prognosis of another 1 to 2 years of life, but she was determined to fight it with all she had. She researched and traveled for treatments. She took all the treatments like a champ and concealed her physical pain with a smile. Although our hearts are broken as we mourn her, we find some comfort knowing she is now pain free. 

Sue was a determined and goal-oriented individual. She acquired a Bachelor's Degree at California State University of Stanislaus in Communications and then focused her ambitions on becoming a registered nurse at Fresno City College. She completed half of the nursing program before she made the thoughtful decision to focus on her treatments full time. 

Sue is survived by her husband, Toua Lee. They have been together for 10 years total and have been married for 3 of those years. She had Toua’s family by her side during her fight with cancer whom she always confided in. She also had a tight knit family from Modesto where she grew up. She was the oldest daughter and was a mother-figure to her siblings. She will truly be missed and surely never to be forgotten.
