We memorialize the life of JOSE VALDEZ MARTINEZ, AKA “Nanito”/ “Ber” / “Bernardito” who passed away on the evening of Saturday the 10th, April 2021, at the age of 44, in Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic.
Growing up mostly in Lawrence MA where his mother owned a perfume store. Bernadito started working at the tender age of 10, helping his mother make sales. This led him to become an incredible and gifted salesman. The type that would literally sell you the shirt off his back.
Around 2010, Nanito moved to the Dominican Republic.
For a while he lived in Santo Domingo where he worked as a salesman, and at the Amber museum as a bilingual a tour guide. A few years ago, he moved to Las Terrenas, after falling in love with this quaint town and its dreamy beaches.
Everyone remembers Nanito as being: joyful, loving, compassionate, charismatic, spontaneous, creative & funny. The kind of guy who will just bust out and start dancing.
As a kid he would make people laugh making funny faces out of nowhere. He loved to sing for fun & would even make up songs, mostly funny ones.
Nanito’s greatest life accomplishment & pride was his 11 year old daughter Angelina.
The goal of the contributions will be to cover funeral expenses.
