Memorializing Our Fallen Heroes
For my Bar Mitzvah project, I am raising money to plant sapling trees in Central Park to name and commemorate the fallen people who perished in the current war in Israel.
I am horrified by the war that is happening in Israel. Hamas has done unthinkable things. In this time of war, it is important to express gratitude for the individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice, ensuring that their deaths are acknowledged. If we don’t, then these people would have died for nothing. This act is a beautiful tribute to those who were sacrificed for our homeland. These trees symbolize growth, strength, and hope for a brighter future, just as our fallen heroes did. It is my way to contribute to the ongoing rejuvenation of the land and fulfilling my role in preserving our heritage and values. Even though their lives were cut down, the trees will grow and age, something these people who were killed never got the chance to do. By planting these trees, I am preserving their name, and giving the people of NYC a connection to Israel. These people will live on through their tree, and continue to make the world a better place. These trees make sure that no one who died in the war is nameless.
I hope that you donate in order to honor the victims of these attacks.
