Memories of Nathan Watts

My name is Michael Watts I am the oldest brother of Nathan Watts. I am fundraising for 32 year old brother who passed away 14 October 2023.

Let me tell you about Nathan. He was a talented carpenter, fire entertainer and a great father. He would always help everyone else and forgets to take care of himself. That is what I want to talk about where I think we all forget mental illness is real. I have served in the Marines for the last 18 years now I have lost Marines with mental illness. I have lost Marines in combat, but never expected to lose a brother with mental illness. This is a shock not just to me, but also to my family and friend who knew him, there was no signs.

A lot of people have reached out to me asking “What can I do to help?” Well, I don’t need help but my family needs help. What I’m asking if you like to donate towards his funeral. The funeral cost is around 20,000. I don’t expect to reach 20,000 but every little bit counts. This money will go to our parents to help with that because they will be covering all the funeral costs.
