Memory of my daughter Jasmine Olivia

Hi my name is Joyce Ventura. I am fundraising money for my daughter Jasmine Olivia Henry. On August 31, 2023, I received a phone call from a police officer. I was told that my daughter Jasmine was found on the grass and passed away at a park. I was like no way. It can not be my daughter. Yes, it was! I can not describe the feelings of my daughter passing and how it tears me apart inside. Jasmine was only 41 years old. It was tragic how my daughter passed away.

My daughter Jasmine struggled with Mental Illness PTSD and drug addiction. On June 28, 2023, Jasmine graduated from a rehab. It was 1 year of sobriety. I was so Proud of my daughter Jasmine and she worked so hard on her recovery. For anyone out there who has struggles or had struggled with mental illness and addiction knows that the journey is not an easy one but not impossible. Still a Journey ! There are many other family members out there that have loved ones that have or having and dealing with their recovery and mental illness, is never a easy journey. My daughter was a mom too. A son who is 1 years old. I will always keep her memory and he will always know that his mom loved him so much and missed him before passing away.

My daughter Jasmine will be missed so much. Jasmine was a beautiful person with a heart of gold. Jasmine was a funny person and would make you laugh. If you ever needed Jasmine she would be there for you. A very respectful daughter. Hard worker, kind. respectful, funny with a great sense of humor, a great friend to all of her friends and Family. A great Mom.

My story is let anyone and everyone to hug, kiss and always say positive things to your loved ones and friends whether they have struggles or not of mental illness or recovery. You just never know when it would be the last time you get to hug and tell them how much you love them.

These are the reasons for my story on gofundme of my daughter Jasmine and the hope of being supported by many others who do not know me for the fund raise of Jasmine Olivia Henry funeral arrangements. Also, to be aware that mental illness and drug addiction can happen to anyone, a daughter, son, cousin, brother, sister, aunt, uncle or a friend. Please Do not judge anyone that you may see who are suffering from any mental illness and addition. This can happen to anyone.
