Support Memphis Heritage's Campaign

Donation protected
Memphis Heritage is pleased to announce that we have a resolution with the new owners, Tekila Mexican Restaurant, that the white paint applied to the historic Rowland Darnell House (aka 19th Century Club) will be removed. Memphis Heritage has agreed to raise the funds needed to accomplish the removal. A very reputable contractor that has experience with historic structures will do a test on a small section to ensure that all parties are pleased with the results.
We are grateful to the owners for their willingness to preserve this historic landmark. Many would not have been as agreeable, and we look forward to welcoming their new restaurant to midtown. This entire process has proven that through open communication good things will occur.
Memphis Heritage has established this Go Fund Me page for anyone to make a year-end tax-exempt donation towards this project.
MHI has and will put its money where its mouth is in educating our community about the importance of Historic Preservation.
Please donate to help Memphis Heritage's continuing efforts to restore this historic landmark to its original integrity.
