supplies for Venezuela

Venezuela is going through a long struggle towards the path of freedom. The government, for 18 years, has done nothing more than deprive us of our human rights. The country is bottoming out with high rates of insecurity, inflation and neglect. People are dying of hunger. This April, peaceful marches were launched with the aim of demanding that our demands for justice be respected. We want and need justice for all Venezuelans and political prisoners. We want and demand general elections. The marches and protests have turned into a civil war, leaving the Venezuelan citizen in despair at the expense of the abuse of power by the Bolivarian National Guard and the National Police, also in the hands of armed groups called "colectivos" that follow orders Of the government where the end will only shoot any demonstrator who crosses. Innocent people are dying, innocent people are being imprisoned, innocent people are disappearing and many more humiliated. The media are silent, out of fear, at the behest of a dictatorial government, which wants to hide under the table the reality that we are living in the day to day and the facts to which we have been exposed in the streets. That is why many of the photojournalists are coming out to the street facing each other and sharing everything that is happening. It is thanks to them, to us, that the world can know and keep informed about our current situation. We are a group of 8 Venezuelan photographers who are currently documenting the protests / marches held in Caracas, convened by the opposition, against Nicol s Maduro regime; A government that has violated many of our rights for 18 years. We find ourselves working with each other, but without protective equipment; That is why we need to reach the goal of raising funds to buy anti-skids, protective helmets and maybe some vests that will facilitate our work on the street. We will be very grateful if you help us to reach this goal.

I'm hosting this fundraiser because the beneficiaries needed someone in the USA who can withdraw the money and buy directly from here the supplies, I'm friends with 3 of them, mainly with Andrea Sandoval, whom I know from the photography movement back in my homecountry, as a photographer myself I'm trying to help my coleagues in the list bellow. Im attaching the links from amazon of all the things that we will be buying and shipping to Caracas.

Once we reach our goal I'll be doing the orders for the supplies and post updates with screenshots of all the orders and the amount of each to keep transparency in every step. I'll be sharing then the shipping information along with tracking to ensure that the package will arrive at the destination safely.

Venezuela está pasando por una larga lucha hacia el camino de la libertad. El gobierno, desde hace 18 años, no ha hecho más que privarnos de nuestros derechos humanos. El país se encuentra tocando fondo con altos índices de inseguridad, inflación y negligencia. La gente está muriendo de hambre. Este mes de Abril se iniciaron marchas pacíficas con el objetivo de exigir sean acatadas nuestras demandas de justicia. Queremos y necesitamos justicia para todos los venezolanos y presos políticos. Queremos y exigimos elecciones generales. Las marchas y protestas se han convertido en una guerra civil, dejando en desamparo al ciudadano venezolano a expensas del abuso de poder por parte de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana y La Policia Nacional, también en manos de grupos armados llamados "colectivos" que acatan órdenes del gobierno donde el fin solo disparar a cualquier manifestante que se atraviese. Gente inocente está muriendo, gente inocente está siendo encarcelada, gente inocente está desapareciendo y muchos más humillados. Los medios de comunicación están callados, por miedo, ante las órdenes de un gobierno dictatorial, que quiere ocultar bajo la mesa la cruda realidad que se está viviendo en el día a día y aún más los hechos a los que hemos estado expuestos en las calles. Es por ello que muchos de los fotoperiodistas están saliendo a la calle dando la cara y compartiendo todo lo que está pasando. Es gracias a ellos, a nosotros, que el mundo puede saber y mantenerse informado sobre nuestra situación actual.


Somos un grupo de 8 fotógrafos venezolanos que actualmente documenta las protesta/marchas que se llevan a cabo en Caracas, convocadas por la oposición, en contra del régimen de Nicolás Maduro; un gobierno que ha violado gran cantidad de nuestros derechos durante 18 años. Nos encontramos trabajando cada uno con su cámara, pero sin equipos de protección; por eso necesitamos llegar a la meta de recaudar fondos para comprar máscaras antigás, cascos de protección y quizás algunos chalecos que facilite nuestra labor en la calle. Estaremos muy agradecidos si nos ayudas a conseguir este monto.
