Mena Family Support

This past weekend, Heaven gained another angel, unfortunately at the expense of the Mena family who lost their beloved father, Ruben Mena. Ruben passed away shortly after complications from a second liver transplant to replace his liver from a transplant years earlier. Ruben was an incredible, loving father, who truly embodied what it means to be a selfless human being. Ruben would give you the shirt off his back without any hesitation, all while maintaining his infectious smile that many of his friends and family came to love. He worked very hard to support his family, but never lost sight of the true values of life. As many of you may know, the Mena family also tragically lost their beautiful mother, Ana, in August of 2009. Ruben and Ana leave behind four wonderful young men: Carlos (16), Ruben Jr. (24), Cristian (24), and Henry (26). Carlos, Ruben Jr., Cristian, and Henry embrace all of the spectacular qualities and values of their parents. I am honored to call Cristian one of my closest friends. The Mena's resemble what it means to be a true FAMILY, and their household was always filled with love. Ruben will be missed dearly, but we know he is in a better place with his wife Ana, proudly looking down on their four boys.

Myself and a group of Cristian's closest friends are asking for your help. We would like to raise as much money as possible to help the Mena boys navigate this extremely difficult time - many of us cannot even imagine what they are going through. Although no amount of money can bring their parents back, we are hoping that the money we raise can help ease their hardships. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the Mena's to help cover their living expenses and any costs they may incur during this difficult time. Please keep in mind that no donation amount is too small. Let's all come together and find the goodness in our hearts to donate to the Mena family.
