Medical Funds 4 Mindy Heintz Jarvis
Donation protected
27 years ago Mindy (Heintz) Jarvis arrived into this world through an emergency c-section, receiving trauma to her body. Three days later she was flown by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Columbia, MO where she was admitted to the Neonatal ICU for 6 weeks. As a child she was closely followed by a team of doctors, especially her pediatric nephrologist (kidney dr) and when she was 12 years old was gifted with a living donor kidney transplant by her Grandpa Wolfe. She was told that although it wasn't a perfect match, they were hoping to get at least 8 good years out of her new kidney. That was 15 years ago. This past year she was diagnosed with end stage 5 renal failure. She recently had surgery & training for CAPD (continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis) to do dialysis at home.
Our goal is to raise $3500 which would cover a dialysis chair. Mindy is experiencing pain (which is not normal) with her dialysis. The chair we would like to get for her was used in her dialysis training at the hospital and it brings her pain level down from an 8 to a 4.
If extra funds are raised it will go towards continued medical expenses.
On behalf of Mindy and her family we all greatly appreciate your donations and prayers. Mindy's determination, strength, smile and sense of humor have been steady throughout her journey and has touched many people along the way. We love her and need your help to fund this chair for her. All donations of any size donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
