Thanksgiving family reunion turned into meningitis nightmare
Tax deductible
Our dear friend and brother in Christ, Darius, has been facing a difficult journey since Thanksgiving. While traveling to visit his family in Connecticut, Darius contracted bacterial meningitis and has been in the hospital a month now. He was initially quarantined in Connecticut and later transferred to Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. What was meant to be a time of reconnecting and creating cherished memories with loved ones turned into an unimaginable ordeal and a nightmare for him.
Darius is known for his unwavering kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. He is a
man of his word, a friend to the lonely, and a beacon of hope in his community. His volunteer
work with The Street Angels Ministry has touched many lives, providing food, clothing, and toys for children, among other necessities.
Now, Darius really needs our help. We are reaching out to ask for your support to help him with medical bills and to save his apartment and bring him home once he is discharged. Beyond financial assistance, we also ask for your prayers. The isolation and distance from loved ones have taken a heavy mental and emotional toll on him.
Your support, whether through donations or prayers, is greatly appreciated. We believe in the
power of prayer and the strength of community. As Darius often says, "The power of prayer!"
May God bless you all for your support, even if it is just through prayer. As always, his favorite quote, “Stay prayed!” We appreciate you taking the time to visit this page. In these challenging times, the support of our community means more than ever.
